Artist Shaun Newton grew up in Chico California, a pictorial rural community. He had won many art competitions at an early age and became an official illustrator for the State of California Department of Fish and Game. During this time Shaun branched out to become a professional illustrator for various wildlife publications.
After graduating from Chico State University majoring in graphic design, he moved to Southern California. Working as an illustrator/designer for clients such as Disney, Jakks Pacific, Lakeshore Learning, Mattel, and Spin Master. Shaun draws inspiration from his surroundings while residing in the beach community of Redondo Beach, California.
